Welcome!​

I’m Martha. I’m a freelance writer living in Los Angeles. I’ve been a writer for more than 15 years and have experience writing a range of content including long-form feature travel and news articles, interpreting medical research, lifestyle blogs, and more.​

Growing up my family called me Martita–now my friends call me Tita. That’s why this site is called According to Tita! 

My professional writing by-line is Martha Garcia, you can find my writing portfolio and work here. ​I am also a digital creator that focuses on travel, lifestyle, books, news, and anything that catches my attention for the moment. ​I hold a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Go Bruins! I’ve worked for many major brands and Fortune 500 companies, incluidng NatureMade, Wix, HubSpot, the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, and more! 

I write words and make videos for a living. But really, I love to share my world with others. That includes my travel, unique experiences, great food and drinks, interesting books, or just my take on what’s going on in the world around us.  

My experiences in life have taught me to never take a day for granted, because tomorrow isn’t gauranteed to anyone. And more importantly, life is what you make it.
